Tax Gaps TX (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates taxgapstx.com and app.taxgapstx.com (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

- Property information — the address you enter to check your home.
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you request a call or your full analysis.
- Communications — messages you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring links, via cookies and similar technologies.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage.
Public records
Our estimates are built from public property records published by county appraisal districts (TCAD, DCAD, FBCAD). We do not obtain private information about you from these records.
How we use your information
- To generate your over-assessment estimate and provide the Services.
- To contact you — by phone, text, and email — about your property-tax assessment, if you have consented.
- To operate, analyze, secure, and improve the Services.
- To comply with law and enforce our terms.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate — for example our CRM (HubSpot), analytics (Google), and hosting providers — under confidentiality obligations.
- Property-tax professionals we may work with to help you protest, where relevant to your request.
- Legal / safety — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analytics (including Google Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Your choices & rights
- Communications: you can opt out of calls, texts, and emails at any time — reply STOP to texts, unsubscribe in emails, or email us.
- Access & deletion: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@taxgapstx.com.
- California residents: you may request that we disclose or delete your personal information and, although we do not sell it, may opt out of any “sharing” as defined by California law.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
The Services are for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
